Bago couple brutally slain
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

A couple was brutally killed yesterday by still unidentified suspects who slashed their throats with bladed weapons in Brgy. Atipulohan, Bago City.

The victims identified as Antonio Jalandoni, 56, and his wife, Daisy, 53, were found dead in separate areas, one in the backyard and the other inside their house early yesterday morning.

Supt. Alex Belonio, Bago police chief, yesterday said the slain couple was employed as caretakers of the rice farm owned by Fe Pedreso in Brgy. Atipulohan, Bago City.

Initial police investigations show that two minors heard one of the victims shouting for help at about 3 a.m yesterday. However, they did not report it to their parents, police said. Before the incident, Belonio said they had received information that the couple had heated altercations with the operator of a rice thresher last week.

Bago police investigators are still establishing the motive of the killing, and the identities of the suspects in the gruesome crime. *GPB
