Around 500 day care children in Bayawan City, Oriental Negros
received free school supplies from members of the Big Bike Riders
Club who joined the 2nd Bike for a Cause.
Board Member Henry Pryde Teves said the activity was conducted
this month that has been declared Tourism and Motor Sports Month
in Bayawan.
He added that after distributing supplies bikers decided to
gather more funds to double the number of beneficiaries next year.
The event aims to inculcate other members of bike clubs to
help the poor especially the children in the hinterlands.
He denied allegations it was to boost his plan of running for
Congress. Among those who participated were former Leyte Rep.
Alfred Romualdez and his wife actress Cristina Gonzalez-Romualdez.
Allan Salazar of the Recycle Motorcycle Club of Cebu but now based
in Miami, USA promised to collect donations from his friends to
support the project.*MA
