Teener knifed dead;
man shoots 3 others

A teenager was stabbed dead allegedly by two persons in Purok Mars, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City at about 2:10 a.m. yesterday.

Declared dead on arrival at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital was Juanito Valero Rosarial, alias "Tong-tong", of Purok Lechonan, Brgy. 36, who sustained several stab wounds on his back allegedly inflicted by Nathaniel Nicar Gaydan and an alias "Tata", police reports said. Gaydan was arrested by the Bacolod City Mobile Group, while his companion managed to escape and remains at-large, reports said.

Mario Sibulan Canillo, 22, of Purok Lechonan, Brgy. 36 told the police the suspects attacked and mauled him before stabbing Rosarial, police reports also said.

Another complainant, Rey Diaz Calima, 19, said he sustained an injury on his left arm allegedly inflicted by the suspects.

Meanwhile, Joselito Toledo Velez, 19, single, of United Roadside, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City was also rushed to the CLMMRH with a stab wound on his back allegedly inflicted by an unidentified person at Ramylu Drive, in the barangay at about 1 a.m. yesterday.

Three teenagers also reported to Police Station 8 that they were shot by a certain "Niko Arguelles" at the Goldenfields Commercial Complex in Bacolod City at about 12:10 a.m. yesterday.

Complainants John Lagtapon Rufin, of Gonzaga Street, Brgy. 25; Christian dela Cruz Chang, of Brgy. 23 and Froilan Gaston Suarez, of Bata Subdivision, Brgy. Bata, all of Bacolod City, told the police Arguelles shot them five times. Fortunately they were not hit, police reports said.

Security guard Joefer Mugat Gonzaga of Tuguis Security Agency recovered a homemade 9mm machine pistol with four live bullets from a red bag allegedly owned by the suspect, police reports said.

Also recovered was a deformed slug of the 9mm machine pistol that reportedly hit a glass wall of an Internet café in the area, police reports also said.

The shooting is believed to have ensued from a heated altercation last month between Rufin and Arguelles' friend, reports also said.*DMG
