Samsodin Tahir garnered 71 votes to win as president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Oriental Negros chapter for 2007-2009, in elections held Saturday, at the GSP Building, Capitol Area, Dumaguete City.

He defeated Myles Nicholas Bejar who got 69 votes.

Other elected officers were Alfredo Orquillas - vice president, Evarel Pacuribot - secretary, Glenda Yee - treasurer, Deogracias Eltanal - auditor and Alex Icao - public relations officer. Members of the Board of Directors are Cyrus Riconalla, Herbert Timtim, Arturo Dupio, Raymund Mercado, and Arturo Umbac Jr.*RG
