A 51-year-old farm worker has been accused by his three minor
daughters of molesting them since 2003, in cities of Sagay and Cadiz,
the police said yesterday.
The farm worker who allegedly turned his three daughters into
sex slaves for almost three years, was endorsed to the Cadiz police
on Wednesday by Celestino Villacin Brgy. Capt. Manuel Verbo.
He will be charged with multiple rape, PO2 Melinda Taganile,
chief of the city police Women's and Children Concerned Desk, said.
Taganile said they will be filing 13 counts of rape against
the suspect for the molestation of his 14-year-old daughter, and
24 counts of rape for raping his two other daughters, aged 12 and
11 years old.
Police investigations show the 14-year-old had been molested
by her father at the house of her grandparents in Brgy. Bato, Sagay
City, since 2003.
On the other hand, the molestations of the two other minor
daughters took place at their residence in Brgy. Celestino Villacin,
Cadiz City, the police said.
Taganile said the three victims claimed that their mother
did nothing about the sexual ordeal they suffered from their own
father. When investigated by the police, the mother claimed that
she has no knowledge about the incidents.
In Silay City, meanwhile, rape suspect Jessie Hofilena was
apprehended on Tuesday, almost two hours after Judge Felipe Banzon
issued an arrest warrant and denied him bail, police Chief Inspector
Calixto Mabugat said.
Hofilena, 33, was charged in court allegedly for molesting
a 17-year-old several times in Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City.
Court records show that the victim, who was employed as a house
helper of Virginia Hofilena, 75, claimed that the suspect also threatened
to kill members of her family if she will not accede to his demands.
The victim further said that she was also boxed and slapped by the
suspect, court records also showed.*GPB
