OAAP-Cebu director

A Bacoleño was elected recently as one of the directors of the Outdoor Advertising of the Philippines Cebu Chapter, a press release from OAAP said.

Raymond Dabao of Steel Art Industries Company in Bacolod City was chosen as director of OAAP, an organization recognized by the Advertising Board of the Philippines.

The ADBOARD is the umbrella organization composed of eight national groups, promoting the development of the advertising industry through self-regulation. Dabao was also recently appointed as the Junior Chamber International - Philippines Regional Director for Business in Western Visayas, the press release said.

He, along with the newly appointed officers, vowed to ensure to continually provide support to the progress of the outdoor advertising in the Philippines, the press release added.*

election tomorrow

The 2007-2009 board of officers of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Negros Occidental Chapter will be elected tomorrow, 9 to 12 a.m., at the Hall of Justice in Bacolod City, a press release from chapter president William Mirano said.

Qualified to vote and be voted are 527 lawyers. Nominations will be made on the floor for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, auditor, PRO and five directors. Outgoing president William Mirano will preside over the general assembly and the election. RTC Judge Rodney Bolunia is the chairman of the election committee, with RTC Judges Gorgonio Ybañez, and Anita Chua as members.

The board of canvassers will be composed of Ildefonso Villanueva Jr., as chairman, with Gina May Valladolid, Rosanna Falcis, Evelinda Diogenes and Boy Cayao as members, the press release added.*

Half-day office at Ceneco today

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative will hold office for a half-day only today in celebration of its 32nd anniversary, a press release from the coop said.

CENECO will be closed at 2 p.m. However, acceptance of bill payments will resume tomorrow, from 8 to 12 a.m.
