Complaint lodged vs. mayor,
Mondia denies harassment
BY CARLA GOMEZ

A Pulupandan resident yesterday filed a complaint against Mayor Luis Mondia for alleged harassment.

Elenia Carpentero Yunque, 44, of Sitio Bagua, Barangay Zone 4A, Pulupandan in a police blotter said Mondia and some policemen went to her home at 9:54 a.m. yesterday and uttered a bad word when he told her that they should not fence the area as they are just squatters.

She said the mayor uprooted the fence that was on their land causing the loss of five chickens, one goat and five pigs. She said her brother-in-law Jeoffrey Yunque also lost six chickens, four goats and five pigs.

Mondia denied that he harassed Yunque. He said residents had complained that the road had been fenced off so he had the incident reported in a police blotter.

Later he went to the area and had the bamboo fence blocking a road on Philippine National Bank property removed and turned over to the police. He said SPO3 Anthony Burgos Jr., Pulupandan officer-in-charge, was witness to the incident.*CPG
