Negros Occidental has two new judges.
Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio has been appointed Municipal Trial
Court of Binalbagan judge and Jose Paolo Gamboa Ariola as MTC Judge
of Bacolod City. Trocio studied at the University of St. La Salle
College of Law in 1993 and graduated with the pioneer batch in 1997.
She is the daughter of executive judge Roberto Chiongson and Dr.
Rose Chiongson.
After taking bar examinations, she worked as a legal researcher
for MTCC Branch 2, Bacolod City. She became Clerk of Court of
Regional Trial Court Branch 48, Bacolod City from 1999 to 2005,
and from January to December 2006 was Bacolod Assistant City Prosecutor
I.
Before her law studies she was a flight attendant for Cathay
Pacific Airways. She is married to cardiologist, Dr. Ramon Trocio
Jr., and has three children.
She finished her elementary and high school education at Colegio
de San Agustin-Bacolod City and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major
in Interior Design degree from La Consolacion College-Bacolod City.
Ariola was born in Silay City on June 29, 1961 to the late
Jose Ariola Jr. and Lilia Gamboa.
His father was the former secretary of the late Mayor Natalio
Velez of Silay City while his mother was a high school English and
Mathematics teacher at St. Theresita's Academy, Silay City, and
later on at the St. Scholastica's Academy, Bacolod City.
He is married to Ma. Victoria Severino, with whom he has a
daughter, Ma. Angelica Ariola.
Ariola finished his elementary education at the St. Theresita's
Academy, Silay City in 1974 where he graduated first honorable mention,
his high school at the Colegio de San Agustin-Bacolod, and obtained
his BSC degree in Management at the La Salle College in 1982.
He acquired two degrees from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos
and passed the 1988 bar examinations.
After graduation from college in 1982, he was employed by the
defunct Bacolod Leasing Corp. as a Loans and Discounts Clerk.
After passing the bar in 1989, he became Clerk of Court 5
of the Regional Trial Court Branch 42.
He is also a professor of the College of Criminology and the College
of Law of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos.*CPG
