NTC explains power trip off

The National Transmission Commission yesterday explained that a deformed round bar that hit a power line in front of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos caused the almost one hour brownout from the Capitol Lagoon Park down to Tangub in Bacolod City, Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto.

Marcos Quiamco, NTC corporate communication officer, said the round bar came from the construction of a dormitory in front of UNO-R.

The power tip-off was from 1:13 p.m. to 2:05 p.m., he also said.*CPG
