Arroyo in NegOr today

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will lead today the inauguration of the new P137 million Convention Center in Dumaguete City, in time for the opening of the 2nd International Rondalla Festival.

Arroyo had led the groundbreaking of the center in 2004.

She is also set to open and break ground today for various infrastructure projects in Dumaguete, and inaugurate the public market in Bais City, Oriental Negros. Saul Pa-a of the Office of the Press Secretary Media Affairs Relation Office, at a press briefing Saturday, said that, upon her arrival at 12:30 p.m. at the Dumaguete airport, the President will go to Bais City to distribute certificates of land titles, with Vice President Noli De Castro.

She will then break ground for the Bais City Public Market, that will be constructed this year.

At 2:15 pm, the President will inaugurate the new TeleTech Building, officiate at the groundbreaking for the Dumaguete Business Center and Robinson's Mall-Dumaguete located in Barangay Calindagan.

She will tour the business center facilities of TeleTech and will be interviewed by the local media through Provincial Board Member Melimor Saycon and Dumaguete Press Club founder Ely Dejaresco. At 4:30 p.m., Arroyo will open the 2nd International Rondalla Festival, at the spanking new 1,000-seater Negros Oriental Convention. Center, located at the Capitol Area, in Dumaguete City.*RG
