Double-triple whammy

Fun, fun, fun was the double birthday celebrations of biz-wiz Teddy Villanueva and his better half La Infanta Cristina "Bibing" M. Just two days before, it was also the wedding anniversary of top architect Tony Boy Corral and Princess of Negros Inday M. So, it was just but normal for their unico hermano royal, George Clooney look-alike Oti Montelibano and wifey Marissa to whip up the best party to start the year.

Their palatial residence in Silay was aglow as the most ultra-selected guests drove into the winding driveway. TV host Luci Lizares gave a gleeful laugh as she caught sight of a gleaming motorcycle in the middle of the living room, testament to the perks of the grand patriarch Freddie Montelibano.

Tents were all over the sprawling backyard that made the place look like a plush hotel. A most sumptuous feast was prepared by power caterer Puring Tison that had her signature roast beef topping the line of treats. Bacolod was hosting a golf tournament and Ted took the opportunity to invite all his business associates that included Imperial Manille tycoons like the LaO brothers Joe and Jessie, Alex Tanwangco of Topserve Manpower Services who was one of the sponsors for the Lettermen's show, banker Jopot Nograles, cool hotshot Sonny Pangilinan, Bobby Inigo, Bert Balingit, Romy Taruc, hard hitting lawyer Candi Flor and Dennis Reyes. Of course, what party would be a smashing success without the Checkmates with Oca Yulo and headturner Tessa, Joe Chan and his jewel Anna, Choi and Juliet Ramos, lovely couple Raymond and Diane Estela with my brother Philip joining in the dance jamboree.

The party got hotter as Alex T and Jopot N sang rock and roll before everyone swooned to the voice of Johnny Velasquez. Bacolod blue-bloods led by the Villanuevas' matriarch legendary beauty Gloria, Ed and BPI top asset Mae V, Junior with his Jopay, Coscolluela royals Budji and Luis, my favi Ramon Locsin, fitness experts Lourdes de Leon and Madz Golez, California-based Rodi and Diday Diaz, Bibot and Bibing Locsin, Luis and classic beauty Susan Locsin, gent for all seasons Leonard Matti, Yusay brothers Jimmy and Ramon, sportsman Joe Mari Limjap, Spangkie and Panyo Torre, Dr. Toto Rivera and his gorgeous Jean, fun Nonet Benedicto, and Raymond Fuentes who was the life of the party dancing with all the ladies till everyone was soaking wet dancing in the rain… It will be a party that the golf set in Imperial Manille will be talking about for a long time and Bacolod will think of with fondest memories. Yes, it was THAT fun for all!!
