Birthdays, reunion

It was a well-planned affair for Maricel Coscolluela Victorino's birthday celebration in Bacolod City with her family, relatives, and friends. So, last Saturday she jetted to the City of Smiles. With her groupmates since elementary, high school and college, the celebrator treated us to sumptuous lunch at L'Fisher where we reminisced on the old days, laughing all the time. She had dinner with her family, brother Ma-ac and sister Zenya at Kai See and, later at L' Sea for a Chinese meal.

At a corner, also being held was a double birthday celebration for Nelly Ereneta and Vicky Labayen by members of the "Aerobelles."

Maricel, who has been living for a decade in Ayala Alabang, is married to the late Benjie Victorino, a pilot. She is planning to come back to her roots as soon as she finishes some very important business.

Every time she's here for a week to attend some family gatherings or any Socials, the celebrator said she had always felt sad leaving Bacolod.

Family reunions take place during christmas, weddings, anniversaries, and rites for the departed loved ones.

All the Abong siblings, Boy who is a pastor in Cebu; Francis a Cebu-based businessman; Susan Yapjoco, an employee of the Orange Probation Dept; and B-Ging Abon- Tad-y, a Human Resource Officer, arrived to pay respect to their departed dad, Jose Abong.

With them was cousin Coroy Villanueva Sabino, who owns a business in Fountain Valley, California.

Remember: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go."*
