'Love Day' for Riverside
Club partners tomorrow

A Love Day will be held on Valentine's Day, tomorrow, for Club partners and members of the Riverside Diabetes Wellness Club and the Riverside Women's Wellness Club in Bacolod City, a press release from the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital said.

A limited number of free ECG's will be given to partners of the Riverside Women's Wellness Club. For club members of Nutrition Counseling services will also be available, the press release said.

Members of both clubs will also be entitled for free breast screening on a first come, first served basis. The activities will be held at the Riverside Medical Center Satellite Services at Lopue's Extension, Mandalagan, Bacolod, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the press release said.

Both clubs provide its members with periodic club benefits including Lecture Series, discounts on relevant products and activities, and other incentives, and are open to membership. A minimal fee to cover the cost of a Club ID is charged, and no other dues are collected. Applications for membership will be accepted during the Love Day activities at the Satellite Clinic, the press release said.

Vocation camp a success

The 2nd Youth Camp held at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in Bacolod City recently drew more than a thousand participants and 21 vocation promoters from various Religious Congregations from the Dioceses of Bacolod, Dumaguete and San Carlos Cities.

Bro. Bo Sanchez of Kerygma was the guest speaker. Participants were given time to share in his topic, and the Adoration, Confession and Benediction and the early morning Mass followed, the UNO-R press release said.

Committees that helped the camp were the Society of St. Columban and Order of Augustinian Recollects - secretariat; Order of St. Augustine - finance; Daughters of St. Paul and the UNO-R Mass Communication Department- publicity/promotions; Carmelite Missionaries and La Salle Sisters of Guadalupe - program; UNO-R Campus Ministry and Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco - liturgy; Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross; Sisters of the Most Holy Trinity and the Order of Augustinian Recollects - registration; Sisters of the Rural Missions and Capuchin Tertiary Sisters - exhibits; Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul - evaluation; and UNO-R Student Catholic Action of the Philippines and Children of Mary - animations. Other participating congregations were the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, Augustinian Recollect Sisters, Conceptionist Missionary Sisters, Missionary Catechists of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus, and Sisters of the Good Samaritan.

The vocation camp is an annual activity to promote more vocations for the religious life. It was conceptualized last year by Fr. Antonio Limchaypo, OAR , Fr. Max Francesco, MMHC, and Sr. Ting Malacad, OSA, the press release added.*
