Court fines policewoman

Bacolod Regional Trial Court Judge George Patriarca yesterday fined a policewoman facing extortion charges, ABS-CBN reported.

P03 Mary Joy Jestre, formerly of the clearance office of the Traffic management Group, was reportedly nabbed in an entrapment operation charging P300 instead P200 for the registration of a motor vehicle on Sept. 11, 2002.

She told ABS-CBN she would appeal the ruling.*
