Defending champion Queen of Peace-B downed QPS-A Saturday to secure the first championship slot in the boys' division of the NOPSSCEA 10-Under Volleyball Tournament at the University of St. La Salle College Covered Court in Bacolod City.

The QPS-B spikers will meet St. Benilde School, which came out winners against USLS in three sets in the other semifinals.

The La Salle girls' squad, however, compensated for that loss by beating Bacolod Tay Tung High School to claim the first finals seat, after sweeping its four games in the elimination round.

QPS stayed on track for a double crown following a straight sets victory over SBS in the girls' quarterfinals. The win set up a semis duel with St. John's Institute-A, which ousted SJI-B in the last 8. *CPT
