Bundle of joy

People's choice La Carlota Mayor Jeff Ferrer and his best asset-wifey Yoyet F celebrated the baptism of their darling daughter Jillian Martha de Leon Ferrer at the Carmelite Monastery officiated by Fr. Rolly Escubido.

A dozen high powered godparents-Pia Asistio, Patricia de Jesus, Lalaine Reinoso, Joy Gidaya, Tintin Rosales, Chiqui Holshouser, John Javier, Councilor Akoy Sia, Richard Benedicto, Joseph Flores, Alfredo Ferrer, Jr. and Elwin Javelosa gave bountiful blessings to the bundle of joy that lit up everyone's faces that auspicious day. Dinner followed at the busy, busy Business Inn's Grand Ballroom.

Two long buffet tables filled with classic Negrense party fare greeted the guests and stayed nice and warm until the end of the party. Flower enthusiast great grandmother Doña Julie Benedicto together with grandmothers charming Lydia Ferrer and life of the party TV producer Kitchie Benedicto, received the long line of relatives and guests that included the de Leon sisters -fitness guru Lourdes de Leon, travel diva Gene Mapa, retired banker Milet de Leon, real estate wiz Teret Arnaldo, and travel exec Annette Garbanzos. Busy socializing were merry widow Socorro Monfort, eventologist Fini Alonzo with her beau, former La Carlota Mayor Jacki Jalandoni, Ferrer cousins from Iloilo Pangging and Panee Rosales, agri-business tycoon Bob Cuenca and his Quan ladies of substance Agnes C and daughter Chole.

The beaming daddy Mayor serenaded his sweetheart-wife before the band started to play dance music and I glided across the dance floor to do a wild rock and roll with Kitchie B. Everyone followed dancing after that until 12:30 when the band stopped playing. I thought that was the end of the party and started eating the still warm lechon, the delicious callos with some rice…my stomach was grumbling from all that dancing and booze. But no, the party obviously wasn't over when ANOTHER band started to play wilder trance music. I picked up Chita Reyes at her house and we danced till our bones started to crack! It was so much fun, surely, we should have more parties like this!!! MY PRAYER Help me to practice Your patience.*
