PNP reviews crime clock
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

Crimes in Dumaguete City are committed by "new players" who pursue their nefarious activities during daytime which, police said is not within its crime clock.

Police intelligence information revealed that new personalities could be responsible for recent snatching incidents using the same modus operandi employed by city-based suspects, whose identities are in the PNP rogues gallery. City police director Supt. Dionardo Carlos said cops were reshuffled to refocus efforts in solving major and petty crimes in Dumaguete, like snatching and hold-ups.

Inspector Alvin Gumacal was moved from chief of the theft and robbery section to supply officer while Senior Insp. Errol Garchitorena was designated new operations officer.

Taking his post as former intelligence officer is Insp. Reynaldo Pinili Jr. while the deputy city chief is Senior Insp. Rodolfo Serano.

Carlos said the movement is hoped to develop the skills of policemen by exposing them to other work.*JG
