Lifestyle captures
Fil-Sino cage title
BY CEDELF TUPAS

Kenderson Hao buried a triple with 2.2 seconds remaining to lift Lifestyle Boutique past Drift Carwash, 78-76, for the title in the third conference of the Fil-Sino Athletic Club Inter-color tournament at the Po Hang Gym of Bacolod Tay Tung High School recently.

Hao's improbable game-winner capped his 11-point production in the fourth period and also completed a stunning upset over Drift, which came into the game undefeated.

Frederick Ong and Jan Jan Young kept Drift at bay in the third period, before Drift standouts Ronald Arabia, Arvin Gustilo and Bol Manaloto sparked a run that was punctuated by John Dustin Chua's triple that made it 76-75.

But Chua's shot only set the stage for Hao, who finished with a team-high 17 points.

Drift held the psychological edge, owing to its 85-80 triumph over Lifestyle in the elimination-round.

Brian Ong and Jeff Wee, however, started to disprove the odds, helping Lifestyle take a 21-14 lead at the end of the opening period. Wee posted 11 points, while Frederick Ong and Arvin Chua added 13 and 8, respectively.

Arvin Gustilo topscored with 17 points, while Arabia and Manaloto paced Drift with 15 apiece.

Meanwhile, Ralph Richard Tan was elected the president of the FAC during their elections Dec. 9. Also elected were John Dustin Chua (vice-president), Frederick Ong (secretary), Teofilo Ponce Jr. (assistant secretary), Jimmy Yap (treasurer), Arvin Chua (assistant treasurer) and directors Mars Echarri, Bol Manaloto, Johnnyson Yu, Richard Co, Jeff Wee and Brian Tan

The advisers are Joaquin Gochangco Jr., Judge Paolo Ariola, Roger Montalbo, Biboy Uysang and Stephen Tan.*CPT
