Plinky Recto is still waiting for the return of her son*

Contrary to his claim, Pulupandan Mayor Magdaleno Peña and his 3-year-old son have not left the country and the Bureau of Immigration has certified this, lawyer Evalyn Ursua said yesterday.

Ursua, counsel of movie actress and television host Marie Roxanne “Plinky” Recto, told the DAILY STAR that the Bureau of Immigration said that its last record of Peña leaving the country was in 2002 yet.

The Supreme Court Third Division has ordered Peña to return the boy to Recto, his mother, pending appeal. The former lovers have been locked in a lengthy custody battle for the 3-year-old. moremoremore

No bonus for
Neg. Occ. teachers yet
BY NIDA BUENAFE

Teachers of the Negros Occidental Schools Division have not yet received their P10,000 performance bonus, Division Superintendent Eva Belicena said yesterday.

She said the delay was caused by the bulk of paperwork needed to process the release of the funds, but she assured the teachers they will have their bonus before New Year.

Belicena, who was in Boracay Island yesterday with the other schools superintendents for their Year-end Division Conference, said the teachers were given their year-end and cash gift bonus as early as Nov. 15. moremoremore
