Just a family affair

Family and close friends celebrated the birthday of Ninfa Leonardia Wednesday, at Palmas del Mar.

Brother Andy L. said a beautiful prayer and everybody sang a “Happy Birthday” before a delicious lunch served buffet style with several desserts to choose from.

The short program was emceed by niece Lourdes Batac. Performances were rendered by two apos, David and Neil Sanchez, later another apo, Mikaela de Asis, and Neil sang A Whole New World, then Papa Joe Leonardia in his new hairdo sang his signature “La Vie en Rose”, with David and Neil.

Lastly brother Dan L. sang a medley based on his favorite piece “Usahay”, followed by the blowing of a single candle by the celebrator and all of us singing “Happy Birthday.”

As for a debutante, each of her seven brothers offered a rose of different colors – red, pink and yellow to the honoree.
