‘Tabo sa PAO' officials

The Dumaguete Vendors Association has complained about the operation of the Tabo sa Provincial Agriculture Office, in Dumaguete, Provincial Agriculturist Gregorio Paltinca said yesterday.
He said the PAO is given until February 2008 to decide whether to remain the Tabo sa PAO, or establish the Bagsakan Center .
Paltinca said the vendors and those who operate the Tabo must look for a solution favorable to both parties. 
| FOR ONE YEAR Gov. Emilio Macias II has requested the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police to extend the tour of duty of Senior Supt. Melvin Ramon Buenafe, Negros Oriental police provincial director, for at least a year. Buenafe will end his two-year tour of duty in the province on December 30, 2007 . In his letters to the DILG Secretary Ronaldo Puno and PNP Chief Director Avelino Razon dated December 14, 2007, Macias said Buenafe assumed office only last June 30, and added that he needs an officer who is conversant and familiar with the concerns of the province. |
| Negros farmers back bill The Negros Farmers Council reportedly strongly supports House Bill 1257 that seeks the extension of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program implementation in the country. HB 1257 was authored by Akbayan Partylist Rep. Riza Honteveros-Baraquel. The NFC is an organization composed of small farmers, agrarian reform beneficiaries, advocates and claimants in Negros Oriental. Its members have counterparts in Vallehermoso, Guihulngan, Bindoy, Manjuyod, Mabinay, Siaton, Bais City and Bayawan City . |
