TRAIN bets triumph
in nat'l age-group tilt

Standouts representing the Triathlon Association of the Island of Negros created ripples by claiming two top finishes in the National Age-Group Off-Road Triathlon in San Juan , Batangas recently.
Arman Delajeba took top honors in the 30-34 division, duplicating the finish of Dr. Richie Yusay in the 40-44 age-group in the 1-km. swim, 24-km. off-road mountanbike and 6-km trail run event.
Aleman Trabasas placed second in the 36-40 division, followed by Mike Sarrosa as TRAIN scored seven top five finishes in the Dec. 8 race. 
| La Salle , SJI bag University of St. La Salle kept its NOPSSCEA aspirants basketball title Sunday by driving past St. Benilde School at the USLS-IS covered court in Bacolod City . St. John's Institute and Murcia-based La Consolacion Academy shared the limelight with La Salle , by splitting the volleyball crowns at the USLS college covered court Sunday. The Baby Stingers proved too strong for the Benilde cagers as they scored a 94-85 triumph to finish the 17-team tournament undefeated. |
| Pahanocoy boxers win Boxers from Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City prevailed over their opponents and won three golds, four silvers, and one bronze in the Inter LGU/Club Amateur Boxing Tournament held recently in Murcia . Joren Labordo took the gold in 30 kgs while Genesis Servania ruled the 45 kgs and Jake Servania the 48 kgs to deliver the gold medals for Pahanocoy while Roland Servania, (26 kgs), Raymund Orcada, (38 kgs), Ronel Parcon, (40 kgs) finished with a silver and Razel Orcana (28 kgs), salvaged a bronze for the team. |
