| Nominations for Goodyear's “ Bayani ng Kalsada,” the annual nationwide search that aims to promote stories of courage and extraordinary service will be accepted until December 31, 2007, a press release from organizers said.
Now on its second year, the search is open to anyone, including transport associations and car clubs, who wish to nominate a “Tsuper Pinoy,” representing drivers of public utility vehicles, trucks and private cars, p resident and managing director of Goodyear, Dave Morin , said.
Nomination forms are available at Goodyear Servitek dealers and TyrePro outlets nationwide, Land Transportation Office branches, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board offices, selected Caltex stations, as well as at the offices of Filtrepreneur Franchise and Centro Negosyo, the press release said.
Entries may be submitted to Goodyear Servitek dealers and TyrePro outlets nationwide. Forms may also be sent via fax to the Goodyear office (876-4596) or at the Secretariat (893-7049), or via e-mail at www.goodyear.com.ph/bayani. Brownout scheduled
The Central Negros Electric Cooperative will conduct maintenance work that will again cause brownouts from 5 to 12 a.m. tomorrow, in some areas in Bacolod City , a CENECO press release said.
Affected areas are those under the Mountain View Feeders 1, 3, 4 and 5.

PICPA raffle winners named
The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants-Negros Occidental Chapter held its 2007 raffle draw recently at Luxur Place , Magsaysay, Bacolod City , supervised by Department of Trade and Industry representative Max Ravena, a PICPA press release said.
Grand winner of a 2008 Toyota Vios Sedan was Liza Borja of Molo, Iloilo .
Consolation prize winners of P1,000 each were Ma. Editha Murillo, Riza Ferrer, Eisen Uy, Shirley Palma, Erma Delotayo, Oselisa Realty Corp., Cornelio Sapalo, Eva Lou Eufre, Michael Suating, and Ed de Guzman, the press release said.

Party for poor kids tomorrow
Poor children in areas under the 1 st District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways will be treated to a Christmas party tomorrow, at the DPWH Compound, Matab-ang, Talisay City , Negros Occidental, a DPWH press release said.
Employees of the district, under Sanny Boy Oropel, will join about 400 children at the party, as part of the program of Sec. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. of the DPWH, the press release said.
The event will be held in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Gawad Kalinga and other socio-civic clubs, the press release also said.
DPWH employees will assist in the giving and sharing of gifts for the children, who will be treated to fun activities with new mascots from a food company.
Negros Occidental government officials will attend the activity, the press release added.*
