Healthy market pushed
BY MARICAR ARANAS

The Dumaguete City Public Market will adopt the Healthy City Public Market Program under the Healthy City Program of the Department of Health and the Metropolitan Inter-Local Government Health Zone.

Market enterprise chief Jose Ronnie Fortin said yesterday the project will kick off December 27 at the fish, meat and vegetable sections of the Dumaguete public market complex.

Fortin said the program requires a stricter implementation of the standard procedure in the display of meat, fish and vegetable other products.

Strict measures were also adopted at the fish section, that included the inspection of deliveries at the fish terminal.

The Dumaguete City Public Market has been adjudged as one of the cleanest public markets in the country.*MA
