Graduate School Night held

 

The Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School in Bacolod City held its Graduate School day, last Saturday, at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos , a UNO-R press release said.

It started with the Mass at the Oratory, followed by a motorcade around the city, and a program at the auditorium. Parlor games and program presentations were participated in by students of the RBGS, the press release said.

A red carpet night and dinner was presented in the evening during the launching of the Walk of Fame Scholarship program, where project markers were also unveiled.

The project was relaunched in August and many have already responded to it, the press release said.

This is a tribute to the men and women who have made a difference in society, and whose names are immortalized in stones at the pathways of the university park , the press release said.

It also said that Antonio Gargarita and Connie Po, brains behind the UNO-R “Walk of Fame” project, turned over to UNO-R Director of scholarships, Fr. Emeterio Buñao, and UNO-R Acting president Fr. Sixto Bitangjol, in the presence of Dr. Milagros Romero, RBGS Coordinator and Dr. Ma. Dolores Ramos, RBGS Consultant. The amount is taken from the proceeds of the walk of fame project.

Dr. Mary Jane Chio-Uy, Dan Jamero and Jessie Suarez were also awarded as outstanding alumni and student of the RBGS.

Fr. Buñao declared the opening of the application for the RBGS scholarship program. Fr. Antonio Limchaypo, UNO-R vice president for External Affairs, giving the closing remarks.
