NPBC, Lady Dragon take titles
 

Negros Professional Bowlers Club/LJP/Tough Trucks captured the overall championship in the men's division, while Lady Dragon brought home the title in the women's bracket in the 8 th Panasonic Invitational Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City .

NPBC squad climbed from the bottom to the top for a clean 5-0 triumph in the cross-over championship games.

Playing for the champion team were Jaime Chua, Willy Mahilum, Hernand Garciniego, Carlo Boyero, Ronnie Arroyo and Rey Gargar.

In its first assignment, NPBC cruised past Bago City Bowlers Association, 368-314, and followed it up with a 345-321 victory over Panasonic.

In the battle for the Class B bracket finals, Chua, Garciniego and Mahilum crushed the twice-to-beat Barangay 7/Hurricane ASSFBI represented by Nonoy Ayagan, Alba Puentebella and Orly Guiljon, 343-339 in the deciding match.

For the overall championship, NPBC defeated Davies, the Class A champion led by Romel Jover, 331-326.

Playing for Davies were Marlon Jochico, Munching Guinson and Edgar Jerez.

Amor Adobo/ASSFBI and Sharp Phils. settled for first and second runners-up, while Silverado ASSFBI placed third in the Class A category.

In the women's department, Lady Dragon headed by Bebing Uy downed Panasonic in the final showdown for the crown.

Carrying the colors for the champion team were Cecil Biendo, Betsy Tan, Bebing Uy and Jumelyn De La Cruz.

Active ASSFBI Ladies and Firefly placed second and third, respectively.*HLG
