IN LOOC
3 collared for drugs
BY RENE GENOVE

Task Force 24 agents apprehended three persons for alleged possession of illegal drugs in Brgy. Looc, Dumaguete City , recently.

Arrested were Cecille Fabillar, 23, of Jimalalud town; Christopher Royol, 24, and Delfin Noblefranca, 23, both of El Oriente Beach, Brgy. Mangnao, Dumaguete City , in Negros Oriental.

Police said the suspects were collared about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday by the task force led by National Bureau of Investigation agent Nick Tagle and PO2 Glenn Corsame from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Corsame said they were patrolling Zone 4 in Brgy. Looc when they caught the three suspects each with a transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.

Looc Brgy. Captain Talavera, Anthony Chilius Benlot from the Department of Justice, witnessed the inventory of the confiscated items.

Police said Fabillar, believed to be a known drug pusher in Brgy. Looc, has long been under their surveillance but had escaped during their operation.

Fabillar, however, told the DAILY STAR she is not pushing drugs and denied that the shabu was taken from her.

She said it has been a long time that she has not engaged in illegal drugs.

Royol and Noblefranca refused to be interviewed.

Police will charge the suspects with violating Section 5, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the City Prosecutor's Office.

The three were detained at the Dumaguete police jail.*RG
