| Seminarians and priests of the Sacred Heart Seminary presented yesterday “Handog”, a Christmas concert featuring songs that pay tribute to the community, environment, youth and family at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center in Lupit, Bacolod City .
The concert was the seminarians' way of looking back at the past with gratitude, celebrating the present with enthusiasm and looking forward at the future with hope, Dean of Studies, Fr. Ronald Quijano, said.
He said everyone should celebrate the season of advent leading to Christmas with a thankful heart for all the blessings received and shared.
The support given to the seminary by all its stakeholders – the bishop, clergy, religious and faithful – is their inspiration in molding good, holy, and service-oriented future priests, Quijano said.
He added that in the context of the diamond jubilee celebration, everyone in the diocese should take part in the activities that will mark the history of the Church of Bacolod .
Children and youth attending church service at the Sacred Heart Shrine joined in the presentation of the seminarians and priests yesterday.
While the Seminary will be there to sow the seeds of vocation in the hearts of the youth, he said the young men and women of today provide everyone reason to hope and look forward to a better future.*NAB
