OPAP gives
P2 million to farmers

Gov. Emilio Macias II distributed P2 million in checks to farmer organizations and beneficiaries for various development and livelihood projects, at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Capitol Area, Dumaguete City , yesterday.

The fund from the Office of the Presidential Affairs on Peace Process was divided among the beneficiaries of nine organizations, Capitol sources said.

Among the farmer organizations are those from the municipalities of Siaton, Sibulan , Valencia and Zamboanguita.

In Siaton the recipients are Candugay Casalan Small Farmers Association, Mantiquil united Farmers for Peace and Development Devoted Advocates Association, Napacao Small Farmers Association and Napacao United Farmers Association.

In Zamboanguita, they are United Catiray Farmers Association, Inc. United Calangonian development Association and the Najandig Farmers Development Association.

In Sibulan, the organizations are the Calinawan United Farmers Association, Inc. and the Dobdob Movement for the Progress of Valencia from the municipality of Valencia.*RG
