Traffic stalls in
northern Negros Occ

A traffic accident along the national highway of Brgy. Damgo in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, yesterday caused long lines of vehicles to be stranded for almost two hours yesterday.

Police reports said a cargo truck figured in a traffic accident at about 3:45 p.m. yesterday, and its load of sugarcane spilled along the highway of Bangga Alimango in the barangay, causing a monstrous traffic jam.

The flow of traffic returned to normal more than an hour after the cargo truck and its load of sugarcane had been removed.

No one was injured in the accident, police said.

The incident was reported by Warlito Gonzaga, an employee of the E.B. Magalona municipal government, to the town police station.*
