| Bacolod City-born shotmaker Anya Tanpinco fired a one-under par 71 yesterday to put herself in a strong position, entering the final round of the women's golf tournament of the 2007 Southeast Asian Games at the Bonanza Khaoyai course in Nakhon Ratchasima , Thailand .
Tanpinco, who shot a 2-under 70 to take the first round lead Tuesday, is one stroke off leader P Konglraphan of Thailand, who roared back with a 3-under 69 yesterday for a 140 total.
Counting Tanpinco's 141, the Philippines lies in second in the team competition with a 443 total as Chihiro Ikeda and Regina De Guzman struggled for the second straight day. The trio is seven shots off the Thais. *CPT
