Nabbed cop up for
transfer to Guihulngan
BY PATRICK PANGILINAN

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief in Western Visayas yesterday said former SPO2 Freddie Natividad will be transferred to the Guihulngan Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Negros Oriental this week.

CIDG Region 6 chief, Supt. Renato Gumban, said they will bring Natividad to Negros Oriental as soon as they have finalized the documents for his transfer.

They are now coordinating with the Negros police for the former law enforcer's security, Gumban added.

Natividad was arrested by the Jaro police in Iloilo City Monday night, nearly a month after the arrest of former Chief Inspector Clarence Dongail in Manila .

Natividad and Dongail are among the 12 ex-police officers charged for the killing of former Barangay Pahanocoy captain, Eleuterio Salabas, his nephew Maximo Lomoljo, and maritime instructor Ricardo Suganob in August 2003.

Other accused former police officers are Senior Inspector Bonifer Gotas, Inspector Jonathan Lorilla, SPO4 Jimmy Fortaleza, SPO1 Nelson Grijaldo, PO2's Allen Winston Hulleza, Nelson Belandres, Ruel Villacanas, and PO1 Bernardo Cimatu.

Businessman Manolo Escalante, Ronnie Herera, Carlo de los Santos alias “Caloy,” Mamerto, Elma, and Nelson, all surnamed Cañete, Jude Montilla, and Ramonito Estanislao, who are also at-large, are also included in the charges.*PP
