Gov. Joseph Marañon yesterday said a Christmas bonus of P5,000 each will be given to Capitol employees as set by Malacañang.

However, if the finances of the provincial government allow us to give more, this may be done, he said.

We are having this studied, I will submit the request for the Christmas bonus to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on Dec. 19, the governor said.

We have already given the Capitol employees their 13th month pay, the increase in their salaries, cash gifts, and the hazard pay for health workers, he said.*CPG
