| Governor Emilio Macias II said the construction of the Sidlakang Negros Village featuring agri-fair booths from the 24 participating local government units, will be completed by Dec. 16.
The village will open on December 21 and activities will be held until January 1, in celebration of the Buglas Festival in Negros Oriental.
Provincial information officer Adrian Sedillo said Macias has ordered Sidlakang Negros coordinator Ennie Alba to advise the LGU's to fasttrack the construction of their booths, made of indigenous materials.
Sedillo said the governor was worried that the bad weather has delayed the construction of the booths.
The village will showcase the different native crafts, products and tourism attractions of the municipalities and cities in the province. It is located at the Provincial Agriculture Office compound beside the Palace Hall of Justice, Brgy. Piapi, in Dumaguete .*MA
