Bago police officer,
three others killed

A police precinct chief and three civilians died, while two were injured in shooting and stabbing incidents in the cities of Bago, Himamaylan and La Carlota, Negros Occidental, during the weekend.

SPO1 Alan Retolosa, police COMPAC chief stationed in Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City , was shot by a rape suspect Friday and died on Saturday at the Our Lady Mercy Hospital due to gunshot wounds in the lower part of his abdomen.

Police said Retolosa was shot by Joebert Cabos, 25, who refused to be frisked at the police precinct in Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City , at about 11 p.m. Friday. moremoremore

takeover ordinance will pass

Bacolod Councilor Dindo Ramos said he will present to the Sangguniang Panlungsod on Wednesday the Takeover Ordinance which he believes will be passed on third and final reading.

However, Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus said he would like to give the new members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod time to study the proposed ordinance.

Barangay Captain Diosdado Valenzuela of Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City , took over the post of Councilor Arturo Parreño on Nov. 30 as representative of the Liga nga mga Barangay in the SP, while Kevin Daniel Ramos, 15, was only recently elected Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president, replacing Councilor Marx Louie de la Rosa . moremoremore
