Hinigaran given
new police chief

Inspector Sonny Boy Bernus took over the command of the Hinigaran Police Station, after Senior Inspector Martin Vicente Ogatis died on Nov. 30 due to cardiac arrest, the police said yesterday.

Bernus used to be assigned as chief of the Investigation Branch of the Negros Occidental police, before his designation as acting police chief of Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, on Dec.4.

Ogatis, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class '97, served as police chief of Hinigaran for more than four months, after his stint as station commander of the Moises Padilla Police Station and 6 th Regional Mobile Group.

Bernus was replaced by SPO4 Antonio Lorenzo as chief of the NOPPO Investigation Branch, while Inspector Cesarlin Delubio took over as NOPPO administrative officer from Senior Inspector Libertad Teruel, police records showed.

Senior Inspector Rico Santotome, former Valladolid police chief, was also designated by Senior Supt. Rosendo Franco, provincial police director, as chief of the NOPPO Special Operations Group.

On the other hand, Inspector Arnold Mesias also assumed command of the Murcia police last month, as Senior Inspector Simeon Gane will study at the PNP Regional Training School in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City , for his career advancement.*GPB
