The Negros Oriental government is strongly supporting the development of swimming as another exciting sport event in the province, Gov. Emilio Macias II said yesterday.

Macias extended his support for the forthcoming 11th Negros Oriental Governor's Cup Age-group Swim Meet set this Friday and Saturday, at the at the Governor Lorenzo G. Teves Memorial Aqua Center, Capitol Area in Dumaguete City.

The Negros Oriental Blue Dolphins Swim Club and the Negros Oriental Sports Development Program will be hosting the event, to be participated in by about 200 swimmers from Davao , Antique, Cebu, Iloilo , and Bacolod City , and the Silliman University Swim Club of the host province.

The Philippine Amateur Swimming Association Incorporated will facilitate the contest.*MA
