| The Tanjay City government will construct a boulevard patterned after that of the cities of Dumaguete and Bayawan, Tanjay administrator Erkki Lozarita said yesterday.
He said the project has an initial cost of P10 million and will be constructed starting next year. The city has allocated an initial amount of P4 million for the first phase.
The Negros Oriental government allotted P4 million and P2 million will be sourced from the office of Rep. George Arnaiz (NegOr, 2nd district).
Lozarita said the project will highlight the beauty of Tanjay, and the boulevard will be an added destination aside from the famous delicacy Bod-bod sa Tanjay.
Meanwhile, another project lined up next year is the construction of Tanjay City Urgent Care Hospital, which will be built by the Rotary Club of Connecticut, Melford, USA and the Rotary Club of Tanjay.*MA
