Headless man
hit by oil tanker

The fisherman whose body was found floating in the waters of E.B. Magalona town on Wednesday, had died when the fishing boat he was riding was allegedly rammed by an oil tanker, police said.

Police Officer 2 Rex Banasig, E.B. Magalona Desk Officer, yesterday identified the victim as Wilfredo Loquinario, a resident of Brgy. 1, Bacolod City . He said Loquinario was positively identified by his sister, Nemia, through the jogging pants and jockey shorts he was wearing.

Police investigations showed that Loquinario went fishing on Tuesday night in Bacolod City , when his fishing boat was hit by an oil tanker bound for Manila .

His headless body that was found inside a fish trap in Brgy. Panaosawon, E.B. Magalona, was already in an advanced state of decomposition, when found by fishermen.

Citing testimonies of the family members and friends of the victim, the police said the body of Loquinario may have been ravaged by the propeller of the oil tanker.

He was immediately buried at the E.B. Magalona public cemetery.*GPB
