The new rates implemented at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial
Regional Hospital in Bacolod City had been formulated and implemented
by hospital chief Dr. Domingo Vega before his transfer, an ambulance
driver Willie Dueño of the CLMMRH, workers association spokesman,
said yesterday.
Dueño said the changes implemented by the management team,
appointed to run the hospital pending investigation on complaints
of irregularities against its top officials, focus on rules and
regulations and physical set-up. The management team led by Dr.
Jaime Bernadas is implementing the rules that Vega failed to execute,
Dueño said. Among these, he said, is the monitoring of consumption
of oxygen and other medical supplies, and the maintenance of sanitation
and cleanliness.
In a press conference, AHW president Emma Manuel said the
association is willing to assist the CLMMRH workers in the organizational
set up.
The AHW can also help follow up the complaints raised by administrative
officer Bryan Baylon on alleged irregularities in the procurement
procedures at the CLMMRH, Manuel said.*NAB
