The Provincial Development Council has approved a P38.7 million budget for the infrastructure, energization, water system, tourism and livelihood development programs to be implemented in Oriental Negros this year.

The PDC was presided over by Gov. Emilio Macias II, and its Executive Committee members are Board Member Mariant Escaño-Villegas, provincial Association of Barangay Captains president Apolinario Arnaiz Sr., and Jimalalud Mayor Reynaldo Tuanda Sr., representing the municipal and city mayors. Representative from non-government and people's organizations will be elected after they are formally accredited with the provincial government.

The ExeCom of the PDC will act on matters that need PDC action when the Full Council is not in session.*MA
