Bayawan inks MOA on project

A memorandum of agreement for the implementation of the "LAMP 2- Innovations Support Fund: Programming Project" funded by the Australian government, was signed Bantayan, Dumaguete City, recently.

The signatories are the city government of Bayawan, Oriental Negros, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Central Visayas, with commitments from the Department of Agrarian Reform, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and other government line agencies. Bayawan Mayor German Saraņa said the agreement is for an inter-agency collaboration called Computer-aided Land Administration and Information Management System or CLAIMS.

It features tenure security improvement, GIS/IT use and streamlining of land administration services through institutional arrangement, and capability building.

Gov. Emilio Macias II, Rep. Henry Pryde Teves (NegOr, 3rd district), and AusAID Senior Programme Officer Erika Geronimo attended the MOA signing.* RG
