Poles fall, trigger
city brownout

The toppling of two National Transmission Commission poles at Bakyas in Barangay Mansilingan, caused a brownout in downtown Bacolod City yesterday, Marcos Quiamco, TRANSCO Bacolod corporate communications officer, said.

Quiamco said a pole that was rotten at the base fell at 2 p.m. hitting the pole next to it. The brownout that began 2 p.m. lasted until past 6 p.m. when repairs were completed, he said.*
