Bacolod City National High School and Education Training and Center School fell one game short of the Big League and Little League titles, respectively, in the 2007 Philippine Series in Tanauan, Batangas.

With the ETCS-Domingo Lacson National High School clinching a second straight Junior League crown Friday, hopes for a hat-trick of victories for the Bacolod-Negros Occidental contingent were boosted when ETCS' Little League squad defeated Cavite, 11-2, Saturday to book its place in the final.

The City High clouters suffered a 3-1 loss in the finals against International Little League Association of Manila yesterday, ending up with a bridesmaid finish in their maiden appearance in the tournament. ILLAM also got the better of another Bacolod team in the Little League division, where it blanked ETCS, 5-0, in the title match yesterday.

Talisay failed to duplicate its quarterfinal finish last year, after going down to Bulacan, 2-1, yesterday. The Talisay clouters went out in style, beating the team from Morong, Bataan, 5-1.*
