are representing Western Visayas in the Gawad Saka 2007 National

Of the seven contenders from Region 6 only two are not from
Negros Occidental.
The Negrenses who will vie in the national competition are

large animal raiser category; Vilmo Limuaco, Bacolod City, outstanding

The two groups from Iloilo are the Pagaypay 4-H club of Passi
City, in Iloilo and Lambuyao Rural Improvement Club of Oton, which
will vie for the outstanding young farmers organization and outstanding
RIC categories, respectively.
The nominees were selected through comprehensive record-book
evaluation and field validation by the regional selection committees.
Larry Nacionales, regional agriculture officer-in-charge,
said the annual search seeks to recognize individuals and organizations
with exemplary performance and accomplishments in the agriculture
and fishery sectors.
The national winners, who will be awarded at Malacaņang next month,
will receive incentive packages to enhance their technologies and
