Eight precincts transferred
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Commission on Elections issued a resolution approving the transfer of eight precincts from R. Medel Elementary School in Purok Ramylu, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City to Villa Esperanza Elementary School in the same barangay.

Bacolod Comelec registrar Mavil Majarucon yesterday said the eight precincts are 1048-A, 1049-A, 1050-A, 1050-B, 1051-A, 1051-B, 1052-A and 1052-B, which involves 1,089 registered voters.

She said the request was initiated by Sitio Esperanza Purok President Nonie Saldavia in order to make the polling places more accessible to his constituents.

Majarucon said Sitio Esperanza is located behind Palmas Del Mar resort which belongs to Brgy. Tangub.

She said because the voters used to take a ride to Brgy. Singcang and another ride to Brgy. Tangub in order to vote, that is why Saldavia requested for the transfer of their precincts to Villa Esperanza Elementary School which is near their place.*CGS
