100 cops arrive in Neg. Occ.
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

More than 100 troopers of the 6th Regional Mobile Group were released to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office during the weekend.

Senior Supt. Rosendo Franco, police provincial director, yesterday said the troopers, who will be soon distributed to undermanned police stations and provincial mobile groups, are now undergoing re-orientation at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

The downloading of police troopers to various main police units in Western Visayas was triggered by the incorporation of 250 newly-recruited policemen to the 6th Regional Mobile Group stationed at Camp Aniceto Lacson in Victorias City.

The PMG units of every provincial police office in Region 6 are now being strengthened in preparation for the counter-insurgency campaign of the Philippine National Police.

Franco said Pulupandan and Moises Padilla towns will be among the recipients of additional policemen.

More than 250 new policemen who recently graduated from the Scout Ranger Orientation Course in Iloilo, have been incorporated into the 6th RMG.

Another 110 are now undergoing Internal Security Operations training being supervised by the police Special Action Force, also in Iloilo .*GPB
