Award, launching

The US Presidential Silver Medal Award was conferred on Kristoff Reese Grosfeld, 11, son of Sonny and Lisa Gomez Grosfeld, as one of the Most Outstanding Students in Science, Computer Technology and Music.

Kristoff is the grandson of the late Negros physician, Rodney Gomez, and the former Grace Soberano. He is a Grade V pupil in the United States and plays for the Phillis baseball team, which won the US Baseball League Championship.

The Grosfelds also spent for the travel of Bacoleņo Rodney Bomban to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Rodney, a children's party clown on weekends, works at the Civil Registrar's Office and teaches Korean.

The Philippine Road Show and launching of its distributorship by the Brother Philippines were held in Bacolod City recently.

Among those who attended were officials of the company Toshiaki Isauama and Glen Hocson, Emily and David Villanueva of IECC, Bacolod Mayor Bing Leonardia, Vice Mayor Renecito Novero, Bacolod Chinese Chamber president James Chua, vice president of the Philippine Chinese Junior Chamber Stephen Tan, and government representatives.
