Watchman in city
subdivision killed

A subdivision watchman was stabbed dead by unidentified robbers at the Green Acres Subdivision in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, at dawn yesterday.

Dead on arrival at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital was Arsenio Parreņas Cabilete, of Purok Cabugwason, Brgy. Mansilingan. He succumbed to multiple stab wounds on his chest, police reports said.

Ramon Cabilete yesterday told the police that subdivision resident Nathan Balico informed him that his brother had been killed. He said Nathan also sustained several injuries on his head, allegedly inflicted with hard objects by the suspects.

The suspects took the younger Cabilete's Honda wave 100 cc motorcycle, 3315 cellphone and P4,000 in cash, police reports said.

Meanwhile, John Rey Rebatado, of legal age, of Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod City was also stabbed dead by four unidentified persons at Bangga Adela, Brgy. Alijis at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police reports said.

Rebatado sustained stab wounds on different parts of his body and a gunshot wound in his ear, police reports said.

Initial reports said Rebatado and his companion were drinking in the area when the suspects attacked them.

Recovered from the scene were an 8-inch Indian pana and a pair of slippers, police reports said.*DMG
