She dreams of modeling
BY CEDELF TUPAS

This beauty is a firm believer that there are no shortcuts to success. Sixteen-year-old Michelle Talapiero's participation in the Masskara Queen marks her initial steps as she pursues her dream of becoming a successful ramp model.

Talapiero, a senior at Bata National High School, also said she hopes to become a successful businesswoman in the future and dreams of traveling the world with her family.

Known to her friends as Che-Che, Michelle likes to watch television and movies, listening to music and reading books and magazines. Among her favorite magazines are National Geographic and Reader's Digest, she says.

Her favorite movies include love stories like "A Walk to Remember" and "Let the Love Begin", starred in by Filipino celebrities Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez.

Michelle, who has a twin sister and a brother, describes herself as friendly, kind and simple. "I am an open-minded person and understanding," she adds.

Michelle is one of the 10 candidates vying for the Masskara Queen 2006 crown on Oct. 16 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City. *CPT
